Data scientists are master communicators. They speak fluently with people in operations areas and those in information technology departments. They understand technical jargon, business lingo and are information experts. Unlike a jack-of-all-trades, who knows a lot but masters nothing, data scientists know plenty and often are experts in many fields. Most importantly, they find solutions for business problems.

With the political problems hovering around the launch of The Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") now seemingly left behind, the biggest threat to the Affordable Care Act is now a technical one. Initial problems involving massive traffic surges leading to website unavailability were unfortunate but hardly unexpected. Many other high-demand services such as Twitter have experienced similar issues in their infancy. Far more worrying are the continuing data problems which, if left unchecked, could see people left without insurance.

I thought I’d post my presentation on QA (testing) that I delivered at the BIWA Summit near Oracle HQ in California. The presentation is based off of the recent QA posts I did on my personal blog, with a bit more silly graphics on top of it. The one take away from the presentation is that some people prefer the term "testing" as opposed to QA. Good to know. Anyway, enjoy!
